Health Care
After years working as an emergency physician and taking care of countless victims and survivors of violent injuries, Rob Gore created a hospital, school, and community-based violence intervention and prevention program called KAVI in his hometown of Brooklyn, NY. KAVI provides psycho-social support services and advocates for patients injured due to violence in order to decrease recurrent and retaliatory violence in the community.
During PLS, Gore worked on a strategic plan to help increase impact and resources for KAVI, allowing for program expansion.
