Rye Barcott
Class of 2019
Rye Barcott co-founded the non-governmental organization Carolina for Kibera to prevent violence and promote innovative public health while serving in the United States Marine Corps. His book It Happened on the Way to War juxtaposes social entrepreneurship with military service. After the Marines, Barcott co-founded the clean energy investment firm Double Time Capital. Most recently, Barcott co-founded and leads With Honor, a non-profit movement and Super PAC that helps elect and support a new generation of cross-partisan veterans who pledge to put principles before politics in Congress.
While in PLS, Barcott built out a strategic plan for With Honor, which helped elect 19 veterans from both parties to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018 and supports the cross-partisan caucus they have formed.
