Lynn Gettleman Chehab

As a pediatrician with an interest in obesity and public health, Lynn Gettleman Chehab works with local health departments and school systems to create simple messages and policies to promote wellness.

During PLS, Chehab developed a formal network of existing community organizations to promote the evidence-based messages and policies that aim to improve obesity rates and overall health in Evanston, Illinois.  Currently, there are numerous local organizations working to promote the importance of health, but there is no formal network that can communicate and cross-promote the various low-cost and free opportunities that are available for residents of the city.
