Jolene Loetscher
Class of 2019
Jolene Loetscher started telling the stories of others as an award-winning journalist but learned the true power of conversation with her own story. Jolene began speaking on being a survivor of child sexual abuse in 2011, is the namesake of Jolene’s Law in South Dakota, and began advocating for the well-being of families, children and communities through open dialogue. She’s also a successful entrepreneur, having created companies in advertising and biotechnology.
During PLS, Loetscher developed a communications tool kit to create conversations for healthcare providers, expecting mothers, and new families about child maltreatment.
