Erin Cohen

Erin Butler has spent much of her career in the food justice space, working to end hunger in communities through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions. Through her experience in civic engagement, she discovered her passion in the impact of how social responsibility empowers individuals and the communities they serve.

During PLS, Butler focused on minimizing the gap that exists between socioeconomic, racial, and gender groups in civic engagement and volunteerism by creating an inclusive and equitable program which empowers youth to enhance their lives, the populations they serve, and the communities they inhabit.
