Dan Savage
Class of 2019
After five years in the United States Army, Dan Savage spent the first nine years of his civilian career pursuing an education in public policy and launching a series of initiatives designed to support the transition from military to civilian life. Along this path, Dan developed a passion for leveraging technology for social good and spent three years managing the nation’s largest digital professional network of service members and veterans. Since, he has transitioned into a role in venture capital to continue his education in building and launching efforts that yield transformational social change.
During PLS, Savage served as an advisor to a veteran-focused tech startup, helping to build and bring to market the first ever online tool which maps every individual job in the military to civilian skills and resume bullets, with the goal of getting this free tool in the hands of the hundreds of thousands of men and women who leave the military every year.
