Bayete Ross Smith
Class of 2019
Bayeté Ross Smith uses the concepts of identity and community to study and deconstruct ideas of beauty, value, and reciprocity. Additionally, he examined how identity and community form the basis of human interactions and social systems.
During PLS, Smith began planning and creating a series of art installations at top tier law schools and law firms, that address various contemporary social issues such as unconscious bias, economic justice, and political accountability. The goal of this project is to engage law students and other legal professionals in these causes as they have access to social systems that impact daily life in the United States and across the globe.
