Ben Maddox

A former Teach For America corps member and founder of an education advocacy organization, Ben Maddox’s career is centered around the pursuit of equity, justice, and civic engagement. Ben joined the United States Navy as a Judge Advocate General, or JAG, and has served in San Diego, Japan, and Washington, D.C.

During PLS, Ben combined his experience working to expand opportunities for young people in underserved communities with his unique perspective as a Navy JAG officer. Ben is building consensus around the need for unconscious bias training in response to the racial disparities that persist in the U.S. military justice system.
