Bahar Atvur

Bahar Atvur splits her time between producing television and working with an education program in rural India.

During PLS, Atvur focused on scaling Shanti Bhavan, an education model designed for children from families who earn less than $2 a day. By providing free high-quality, residential education from preschool through college, the program represents a radical change from the basic math and literacy education models often found in impoverished areas. Graduates of the program have broken the cycle of poverty that their families have endured for centuries, and are now working at companies like Amazon, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan.
